Board of Directors
The Board of Directors are volunteers who provide their time free of charge to help guide Placer Repertory Theater.
Teresa Stirling Forsyth – President
With an MFA in Dramatic Arts and an MS in Business Management & Leadership, this former Silicon Valley high-tech VP and critically acclaimed professional director/playwright also plays the role of Producing Artistic Director for Placer Repertory Theater.

Gina Hill – Board Treasurer
Gina was previously a company controller with accounting, bookkeeping and HR experience. She also has certificates in Technical Theater and Animation, a make-up license from VIZIO Make-up Academy of Beverly Hills, and attended Orange Coast College to study TV/FILM. She has worked as a camera operator and camera graphics person for Garden Grove TV, where she produced and directed local commercials, but particularly loves her experiences in the theater from Props Master, Sound and Lighting to Make-up and Hair to Wardrobe Assistance and Stage Management.
Currently, Gina is employed as a technician for Harris Center events and Folsom College productions, as well as employed by Placer Rep as the Supervising Facilitator and Programs Specialist for VAPA Academy of Colfax.
Amanda Rocha – Board Secretary
Ms. Rocha is a law firm owner in Placer County, practicing Estate Planning and Probate. She started the Law Office of Amanda L. Rocha in 2020. Prior to practicing in this area, she practiced workers’ compensation defense and employment law.

Kathryn Carner – National Chair & At-Large Board Member
Actor, solo performance artist and administrator, Carner is a graduate of University of Colorado and the internationally renowned Dell’Arte School of Physical Theater. Currently, Ms. Carner is an acting company member of Tim Robbins’ The Actors’ Gang, and Director of Operations for their Arts in Prison program. She has been on the board of directors for Placer Repertory Theater since its official founding as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in April of 2020.

J.M. Lahr – Board Member
Playwright JM Lahr’s plays include All That Remains, Three Rivers, Intervals, and Real Talk. JM Lahr’s work has been produced and/or developed by The Tesseract Theatre Company, Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble, and MillHill Productions. Awards include: 2018 St. Louis Fringe Festival Fringemeister (best production of festival), 1st Place at A Taste of Theatre Festival, and St. Louis Fringe Merit Award. Member: Dramatists Guild, The Tesseract Theatre Company and Resurrection Theatre. JM Lahr earned a Bachelor of Arts Emphasis Playwrighting from Webster University, St. Louis, MO.
Mark Hoffman – Civic Outreach Board Member
Retired Clinical Psychologist, and active music, stage and screen performing artist.
Having received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from BYU, Mark’s professional career spanned more than 30 years, covering a broad spectrum of experience, administering and/or working in acute and rehabilitation medical, community mental health, managed care, correctional, and private practice settings, providing psychotherapeutic, neuropsychological, forensic, and marital/family counseling services.
As a performing artist, Mark has worked professionally and in community organizations over the years as an instrumental musician, vocalist, and actor.
